UniDyn is a leading
manufacturer of specially engineered production equipment and of testing
equipment, principally for the electronics industry and the quality assurance
testing market. The company has two facilities: the Phoenix Avalon plant to
produce printed circuit board manufacturing equipment for the bare board industry;
and the Utah facility which
serves as software development and support.
UniDyn Corp. (formerly Universal Dynamics) was
formed in 1989 to provide vibration control products to aid mechanical engineers in the
study of vibration dynamics.
The Sirius line of products are UNIX based systems running on a
Motorola based 680xx computer system. This product was extremely successful by providing
an excellent price/performance return. However, the days of the high priced UNIX based
computer controllers are rapidly coming to an end.
Therefore, UniDyn was formed with the intention of providing even
better price/performance ratio through the use of leading edge tools and products such as
Windows, SPOX, TI's TMS320C40, Intel etc..
In 1993 these new tools and products were integrated into UniDyn
Corp's latest vibration control and data acquisition products, the Northstar series. By
offering a PC based platform running Microsoft Windows, the Northstar series of test
equipment has pioneered the evolution of vibration control and analysis products into low
cost, high performance, user friendly systems.
UniDyns engineering center is continuously developing
improvements in the Northstar software products to remain on the cutting edge of vibration control
technology. The Microsoft Windows 98 and NT operating systems have come to the Northstar
software products and a full 32-bit vibration control suite is currently available.
